New Changes

The image above is my new icon for my Etsy Shop. It's official, I've switched logos! Below are the new handmade bows I've added to the shop. Let me know what you think!

Blue Chevron

I made a yellow one like this earlier and it sold pretty fast on my Etsy shop. I had so much fun making it I decided to make another one, but this time it's blue. I love hand painting the designs and coming up with something that's never been done before.

Enjoy!

3D Design Final Project

For our final project in my 3D Design class at UVU, we had to create an "assemblage" of things and have it represent us. Almost immediately this idea popped into my head and I started sketching it down on paper. I wanted it to be a tree that I could hang things I'm made off of and and something fun and quirky. It wasn't long after my idea started forming that I decided I wanted to drill a hole in some books and use that as the base. So, off to DI I went. After I bought the books, I quickly realized that I had no more money left to spend and that whatever I did, would have to be made of free materials. I originally thought I was going to make the little tree out of wire, because just getting a branch would be too flimsy, but using a branch was a free option and wire was not. Then I had to find a way to make it sturdy enough to hold my wire jewelry I make. I remembered the drawer full of scrap fabric in my closet and decided to wrap pieces around the branches by dipping them in school glue/water mix. That took a while, but it got done. We have some left over chalkboard paint from our summer in a Farmer's Market so I painted the cover of the top book so I could draw things on it. I even made a little wallet to dangle out of some of my favorite fabric.

So, this tree is quirky, fun, colorful, and unique. Just like me. Good thing I got an A!

Where Have You Been?!

You might be saying to yourself, "Why Britni! Where have you been!? You haven't added anything to your shop for a while and even took a couple off! It looks dismal." Well. This is what I've been doing! A dear friend/coworker of mine ordered 5 wallets. 3 of them were custom made just for her, her daughters, and daughter-in-laws, and in addition to making Christmas gifts, I have been a busy sewing bee and brewing up these bad boys. Didn't they turn out adorable?!

The blue and yellow one reminds me of a summer picnic. She really liked my Yellow and White wallet from my vintage collection but wanted the blue on the outside. So this is what I got.

 Merry Christmas everyone!

Business Cards

I came up with this design for my business cards. What do you think? The logo is new, something I came up with myself. It's simple and sophisticated (at least that's what I was going for...).

Yellow Chevron Wallet

I just finished this Chevron Wallet. I hand painted the design with fabric paints. It was so much fun to make, even though it takes forever to dry. Isn't it just so cute!?
